About Confirmed Fire notifications
Overview
Nimbus Confirmed Fire notifications are triggered when there are multiple activations of the fire alarm system within the configured time range. Events from these devices are considered for Confirmed Fire:
- MCP
- Detector
- Fire Input
- Evacuate button on panel
Tip: As confirmed fire events are generated by Nimbus, they will not show in the equipment Event Log.
Configuring confirmed fire notifications
The default configuration is 2 or more activations from any zone within a 10 minute time period. Any changes to this configuration will not apply until at least 5 minutes has past.
You can configure confirmed fire notifications on the edit equipment page. Here, you can specify:
- Time between unique fire events
- The number of events required for a confirmed fire
- Whether these events should be in the same zone or not.
Note: the timer resets after each activation. A RESET event from the fire alarm system will also cause the timer to reset.
