Configuring equipment servicing
Service periods are automatically created against an equipment when it is created.
The start and end dates can be configured to align with your servicing contract start and end date, e.g. 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025. Configuring this way ensure that Nimbus expects 100% of devices to be tested across the relevant 12-month period.

Configuring service visits
Using the scheduling feature you can assign visits, and specific devices for the service engineer.
Scroll to the bottom of the edit Equipment page, select [Current Servicing Period]
Select Edit Schedule
Select the number of visits you want to apply
If you only want to add visits, and NOT assign engineers, dates, or devices, go to [No Schedule], click [Save Changes]
If you select a visit date, then the equipment will show on the engineer's Nimbus Engineer app, in descending order, with the earliest schedule dates first.
Scheduling devices against a service visit
Using the scheduling feature you can set which devices the engineer to each visit that has been created.
No Schedule |
Nimbus will not schedule any devices for specific visits. |
Automatic |
Nimbus will randomly assign devices between the visits, testing more devices in the earlier visits to allow more time in the last visit to test difficult devices. |
Manually for zones |
You can manually select which zones to test in each visit, so the engineer is testing devices close to each other. |
Manually |
This gives you complete control of which devices to test in each visit. |
Note: In all modes, only the devices scheduled will show in Nimbus Engineer if you select a scheduled visit. However, the engineer can still test any device they wish, that device will then show in Nimbus Engineer.
Alternatively, they can select Unscheduled Visit and that will show the full list of devices including details of which devices have been already tested.
If you fail or don't test a device schedule in a visit, it won't automatically be rescheduled in a future visit.
