Configuring Nimbus Engineer

Configurable settings

Disable automatic failing of devices when faults occur

  • Nimbus Engineer will receive push notifications from Nimbus when a fire alarm device is tested or raises a Fault. A Test or activation records a pass against the device, there a Fault records the device as Failed. This option disables this functionality.

Hold off time

  • This is the time between tests before Nimbus Engineer will record a state change automatically.
  • So if you test a device and it fails, you need to wait 30 minutes before you can test it again and get it to automatically pass, however the app should allow you to manually Pass if a test has now been recorded.

Pass assets and Pass conventional devices

  • These options allow you to configure how the engineer is able to pass Asset management Assets and conventional devices.
  • By default the app will allow any of these devices to be passed when ever the engineer deems fit but you can configure the app to require a Barcode/QR code read or RFID read before being able to pass the device, therefore ensuring they are onsite when doing this.
