Connect/Gateway panel guide: Morley ZX
Overview
Nimbus supports connection to either the Morley RS232 card or the mainboard programming header.
Networks
In network configurations, the physical connection between Nimbus Gateway and Panel, should be made to the ‘Master Panel’.
Each Morley panel has its own node number in a networked system. The node number of the panel that is connected to the Nimbus device must be entered in the Node Number text field on the Nimbus Web Portal, under the equipment settings.
Equipment required

A Nimbus Connect or Fixed Gateway device

3 core screened data cable
AND
- Morley EXP-005 (Port ‘B’) RS232 card
OR
- A Nimbus Morley ZX panel connector (part no 201-306-01)
Panel configuration

If required, install the Morley EXP-005 (Port ‘B’) RS232 card according to the manufacturers instructions.

Configure the panel:

Press [Menu]

Select option [6 Print]

Select option [3 Mode]
-
Select option [ - ]
-
-
Set the baud rate to 9600 and the frame to 8N1.
Note: the panel will not output events to Nimbus while in commissioning mode.
Wiring
Morley EXP-005 (Port ‘B’) RS232 card
Using 3 core screened data cable wire to the Nimbus RS232 as follows.

Mainboard programming header
Connect the Morley ZX panel connector to the programming header. Using 3 core screened data cable wire to the Nimbus RS232 as follows.
