Connect/Gateway panel guide: Pertronics F100A/F220

Equipment required

• A Nimbus Connect or Fixed Gateway device

• 3 core screened data cable

• A Nimbus supplied RS232 Female 'D' Type panel connector (part no 201-305-01)

• The Pertronic Text Interface (SPIB-NCPP)
  
  

Panel configuration

1. Install the SPIB-NCPP card according to the manufacturers instructions

2. Configure the SPIB-NCPP card using the Pertronics Config Tool

   1. Connect the card to your computer with a USB Mini B cable
      
      
      
      
   2. In the Config Tool, select the COM port which relates to this connection
      
       
      
      
   3. Select Import Config
      1. Once complete, the status message above the progress bar will say "Complete" and the SPIB-NCPP card will be configured ready for connection to Nimbus.
         
         

Wiring

Connect the Female 'D' connector to the SPIB-NCPP card.

Using 3 core screened data cable wire to the Nimbus RS232 as follows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Troubleshooting

Please use the provided tool for loading the configuration into the SPIB board, any manual attempt you must be careful that you don't enter anything other than ASCII characters. Even pressing backspace on your keyboard is logged as part of the config and will then not operate correctly, so any mistakes you must start over.

Important: These settings are only for additional debugging/diagnostics, please use the tool provided instead of setting manually.
