Connect/Gateway panel guide: Tyco Fireclass/MX/MZX/Zettler

Equipment required

  • A Nimbus Connect or Fixed Gateway device

  • 3 core screened data cable

  • A Nimbus supplied Tyco MX/MZX/Fireclass panel connector (part no 201-303-02)

  • Consys v25.0 or later

Panel configuration

  1. Set the panel baud rate to 4800
  2. Set Comm Port 1 to Printer or TPI mode
    1. When configured as a printer, comm 1 outputs 2 lines of ASCII data
    2. When configured as a TPI, comm port 1 outputs 3 lines of ASCII data.

The configured mode must match that of the equipment in the Nimbus Web Portal to enable communications.

 

Wiring

Connect the Tyco MX/MZX/Fireclass panel connector to comm port 1.

Using screened data cable wire to the Nimbus RS232 as follows.
