Connect/Gateway panel guide: Notifier Pearl

Equipment required

From Nimbus

• A Nimbus Connect or Fixed Gateway device

From the panel manufacturer/3rd party

• 3 core screened data cable

• Notifier Pearl RS232 & RS485 Communication Card Kit (Part No. PRL-COM)

Panel configuration

1. Install the Pearl Communication Card Kit according to the manufacturers instructions.

2. Configure the panel:

1. 1. From the panel main menu, select the "Commissioning Tab" and input the Commissioning passcode to access the "Commission Menu"
   2. Select "Edit Configuration"
   3. Select "Panel Configuration"
   4. Select "Plug-in Card Option"
   5. Select either "Plug-in Comms Card A Options" if the Card is installed in the left hand position or "Plug-in Comms Card B options" if the Card is installed in the right hand position
   6. Set the card options:
      1. Card Present : YES
      2. Card Address : As per rotary switch on card
      3. RS232 Protocol : TPP011A
      4. RS232 Baud Rate : 9600
      5. RS232 Comms Mode : FULL
      6. RS232 Datalink Mon : DISABLED
      7. RS232 Suspend Limit : 0
      8. RS232 Panel Control : PREVENT
      9. All Other Card Settings left as Default, with RS485 Protocol for this card Disabled
