Fixed Gateway (Generation 2) Overview

Indicator LED's

Power -  Power On indication. Power supplied should be in accordance with requirements shown in the Datasheet.

Inputs - In normal operation, (Fire and Fault or Key Switch input) the appropriate LED will indicate when a connection is made between the Common terminal and the numbered Input. Please see the "Gateway - Digital Inputs" article to configure the inputs further
Panel Rx and Tx - LED's will flash appropriate with activity over the Serial data connection. Lack of activity may reveal a problem with Panel connectivity.
Outputs - Reserved for future developments
STATUS   In normal operation, the Status LED will flash every 4 seconds, in sync, with the Panel and appropriate data indicator (depending on the data mode).
GPRS Indicates GPRS data mode and connectivity state (GPRS subscription).
N/W Indicates Ethernet network data mode and connectivity state (Ethernet subscription).
PANEL Indicates the state of the connected host panel to Gateway communications.

Panel, N/W or GPRS indicators will periodically flash independently to indicate activity.
A permanently illuminated LED indicates a fault with that element.

Inputs and Outputs

Inputs 1&2 support connection to either "Conventional Fire and Fault" Panels or "Mode Change Key Switches", as per the previous Gateway.

Inputs 3&4 are not used by default but please see "Gateway - Digital Inputs" article for details on how to make use of these.

Outputs are currently reserved for future development.
