Installing the Fixed Gateway Configuration Tool
The Nimbus Gateway Configuration Tool is a Windows application designed to allow an Engineer to make changes to the configuration of a Fixed Gateway.
You will need this software to complete the following:
- Configuring the Gateway for ethernet data path onto a local area network (LAN).
- Configuring the Gateway for connection to a Kentec/Latitude/EMS Taktis Panel.
- Changing the Gateway data path from GPRS to Ethernet or Ethernet to GPRS.
Equipment required
- A Mini-USB to USB-A cable.
- Laptop with Windows 7 or later.
Note: You will need administrator rights on your laptop to complete the installation of the software.
Download & Install
You can download the current version of the tool via the attachment at the foot of this article.
As this is an executable file some browsers may recognise the file as a potentially harmful file. Ensure the download completes correctly and open the install wizard.
Note: The application may require authorisation to be installed.
The wizard will install both the configuration tool and the associated drivers to connect to the Gateway. You will require administration rights in order to install the drivers.
Logging In
- Connect your Mini-USB cable to connect from the laptop PC to the USB port on the Fixed Gateway.
- Choose the correct serial port that your USB cable is connected to.
- Enter the password "000000" to log-in as an Engineer level user.
