Managing client licenses
Overview
Control Room Monitor (CRM) clients are licensed for a specific number of instances. Each time a client is run, it checks for registration and license with the CRM server. If there is a license available then the instance is registered.
Retiring a CRM client
If you retire a CRM client, then you need to manually remove this registration from the CRM Server.
Please use a CRM client (or server) which does have a license and login as a Admin user, then visit the Configuration menu.
Select Manage Devices, there will be a list devices registered with the CRM. Some of which are CRM client installations, each device of Type Client is a used license. If this client has been retired then you can select the device and remove it from the list.
If for example ADAM-LT is a retired installation, this device can be removed and it will free the license for another installation.
