Manually testing devices in the Web Portal

Overview

Manual test is a permission that allows you to mark devices passed or failed via the Servicing Log in the Web Portal.

This feature is only available, where testing cannot be recorded due to a fault in our service or hardware and is strictly temporary, and is only allocated to Manager level users.

Manually passed or failed devices will not appear in the event log, as it only displays events that have been recorded from the panel by a Nimbus device.

Manually testing a device

Navigate to the Servicing Log of the active equipment you want to manually record servicing against.

Expand the show untested devices section.

You can select devices individually or by groups of device types.

Once you have selected the devices, click on the Manual Test button on the toolbar and populate the testing details as required.

Reviewing manually tested devices

All manually passed devices can be found in the Passed with Advisory section of the Service Log.

The same way you see details from panel recorded servicing of the device, simply click anywhere on the row of that device.

Nimbus will show a pop-up of the details about this device's history. There you can see it shows that this test was recorded manually and by whom.
