- A C-TEC XFP Panel Adapter (part no 201-109-01).

Panel configuration
Enable the RS232 Communications Port and configure it to Print events:- Run the XFP programming tool (PC software).
- Load a copy of the panel configuration or download a fresh copy from the panel.
- Under "Site Configuration" tab, enable the "Real Time Output of Events" option.
- Upload the panel configuration to the panel.
Nimbus requires an XFP panel with printer support, such as the 501 / 502 32-zone panels. Please note that the 501 16-zone panel does not have printer support.
Nimbus supports only standalone configurations of the C-TEC XFP range of fire alarm control panels. Where servicing a network of panels, each panel should be configured as separate equipments in the Web Portal, configured as panel 1* in the ToC and be serviced at each panel.
*This can be done via the Advanced Options when importing your configuration file into Nimbus.
Panel connections
Connect nimbusGo to the RS232 connections on the interface via the 2m Adapter Lead and C-TEC XFP Panel Adapter, wired as in the below diagram.
Trigger an event to initialise the printer port. You will now see the panel LED on nimbusGo turn green, and "good" panel comms will be indicated in Nimbus Engineer.
