nimbusGo panel guide: Notifier ID2000

Equipment required

From Nimbus

From the panel manufacturer/3rd party

  • n/a.

Panel configuration

  1. 'High access' code is required to access menus
  2. Press option 4 followed by 3 (quickly). This opens a hidden menu called “temporary systems options”
  3. Cycle through the menu by pressing the 'tick' button until you arrive at “diagnostic RS232 port”
  4. Select option 2 (3rd Party RS232), followed by 'tick'
  5. Confirm Baud rate at 9600 (default)
  6. For “3rd party RS232", select option 0 (Neither). This removes the fault monitoring.
  7. For "3rd Party RS232: Incoming Data Timeout" select 20.

Note: Protocol 011A is not available on the ID2000.

Panel connections

Connect nimbusGo to the RS232 connections on the interface via the 2m Adapter Lead and Multi Panel (9 Pin D Male) Panel Adapter

You will now see the panel LED on nimbusGo turn green, and "good" panel comms will be indicated in Nimbus Engineer.

If Nimbus appears to be recording each event 10 times, check the connection between nimbusGo and Panel, specifically the nimbusGo TX to Panel RX.

A poor connection will result in the acknowledgement from the nimbusGo to Panel not being received and 10 copies of each event being reported.
