  3. Press [User Menu]

  5. Select [option 6] panel settings
  6. Select [option 18] Mainboard RS232 port settings
  7. Set the following parameters:
  8. [Type] to 3rd Party RS232
  9. [Baud rate] to 9600
  10. [Protocol version] to 011A protocol
  11. [Port setup] to Full Duplex
  12. [Controls] to Disabled
  13. [Fault Monitoring] to Disabled

  15. [Incoming data timeout] to 1 second
  16. [Allow time sync from 3rd party] to No
  17. Power cycle the control panel, after completing port configuration

The panel may buffer events, sending these to nimbusGo when the device is connected. To avoid this, either wait for buffered events to download before beginning the service visit (to avoid devices being marked as passed), or revert the protocol to none following your visit.

Panel connections

Connect nimbusGo to the RS232 connections on the interface via the 2m Adapter Lead and Multi Panel (9 Pin D Male) Panel Adapter

You will now see the panel LED on nimbusGo turn green, and "good" panel comms will be indicated in Nimbus Engineer.

If Nimbus appears to be recording each event 10 times, check the connection between nimbusGo and Panel, specifically the nimbusGo TX to Panel RX.

A poor connection will result in the acknowledgement from the nimbusGo to Panel not being received and 10 copies of each event being reported.
